What we collect when you follow an event

When you tap Follow on an eclipse event, we store the first name and email address you enter, and — only if you provide it — your hometown or city. We also record that you gave explicit consent, and when.

Why we collect it

To send you occasional updates about the specific event you followed as it approaches — for example, weather windows, meet-up times, or organizer news. Your email is never shared with other followers and is never displayed anywhere on the site.

Follow lists are per-event. Following one event does not add you to any other event's list.

How to unsubscribe or request deletion

You can ask us to remove you from an event's follow list, or delete your record entirely, by emailing hello@im-xp.com with the email address you used to follow. We honour deletion and opt-out requests.

Third parties

We may later use an email delivery service (such as Mailchimp or Resend) to send updates. Until we do, your details sit only in our own database. This page will be updated when that changes.
